lets just put it this way: say live in north america. your first language is english. you are taking up french. when you decide to read a french book, it would take a while for you to read it, as you cannot go through french as fast as english. however, if you went through the same book except it was english, then you could go through it much faster because you understand english better than french. the same is with computers. they understand asm better than qb, so they can get through asm code faster.
